It was a busy weekend with 8 teams playing over the 3 days.
On Friday night in Oatlands the u15s got us off to a great start with a convincing win over Drogheda Bullets in the first round of the cup. Unfortunately the Division 1 team came up short away against an excellent Tolka Rovers team.
On Saturday there was disappointment for both U16 teams as they both lost out in the cup. The 16(1) team lost out narrowly to Eanna while the 16(2) team had a tough draw against St. Vincents but accounted for themselves very well despite losing.
In the u13 league there was a fantastic game over in Kubs which we managed to win while playing some great basketball.
Also on Saturday afternoon the u18s played away to Tolka B. Unfortunately the refs didn't both show up so we were only able to play a friendly game. We won the game comprehensively and it's another strong step for Mike Clancy's team as they prepare for their National Cup Quarter Final.
To cap off a busy Saturday the Superleague team were away to St. Vincents in Glasnevin. Things were looking bad going into the 4th quarter with the team trailing by 10 but they managed to win the last quarter by 21 and take the game by 11 points. Mike Garrow led the way with 32 points and Dustan added 23.
Last but certainly not least were the u14s who beat Kubs by a single basket in the cup! Well done guys!!
Next week sees the D1 team in National Cup action on Saturday and the Superleague team facing Killester in UCD at 7pm on Saturday.
